Privacy Policy

Account information: username, display name, email address, password hash, and profile details you provide when signing up.

Platform data: when you choose to connect an external account (eBay, Reddit, Discord, etc.), we collect the public profile fields and reputation metrics you authorize us to access, such as username, feedback score, karma, or account creation date.

Reviews and trade data: ratings, comments, evidence attachments, and related trade details submitted by you or about you.

Usage data: basic analytics about how you interact with RepDex, such as page views and feature usage, collected to improve the service.

RepDex uses OAuth to let you connect third-party accounts. You are redirected to the platform's own consent screen, where you approve the specific data we can access. We never see your platform password.

Access tokens and refresh tokens are stored encrypted on our servers. You can disconnect an account or change its visibility from Private to Published at any time in Settings.

We use your data to:

• Build and display your RepDex score and profile.
• Calculate reputation metrics and risk signals.
• Facilitate reviews and trade handshake records.
• Send service-related notifications and security alerts.
• Improve, secure, and debug the platform.

We encrypt tokens at rest, use secure connections (HTTPS/TLS), and limit access to production systems. However, no online service is 100% secure. Keep your password unique and report suspected unauthorized access immediately.

We keep your account and platform data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account or disconnect platforms in Settings. Upon deletion, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we must retain it for legal or security purposes.

You may request a copy of your data, corrections, or deletion by contacting us. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

RepDex uses cookies and browser local storage for authentication, session management, and basic analytics. You can clear these through your browser settings, but some features may not work without them.
